Disadvantaged

Master status classification applied when a character is disabled or impaired by specific debilitating conditions or severe limb loss.
A character is considered to be Disadvantaged if they are under the following effects: Stunned, Paralyzed, Enfeebled, Pain, Confusion, Sleep, Unconscious, Unarmed or if both arms are Bound, Disabled, Broken, Withered, or Severed. Not all negative combat effects put a character at a Disadvantage. A character is not Disadvantaged if they are: surprised, blind, weakened, etc.
Key Rules & Mechanics
- Required target status for bonus damage abilities (e.g. Rogue Backstab, Assassin Proficiency, Arcane Proficiency).
- Surprised, Blind, and Weakened conditions explicitly DO NOT trigger Disadvantaged status.
Cures, Removal & Recovery
Varies by the underlying condition affecting the character.
